Yuris Coding Club started out to help beginners get into open source. In 2022 and 2023 we did a great job working together on various projects and gain new skills like contributing to open source, working in teams, and more. I am thankful and proud of everyone of who was part of this amazing journey and hopefully see each other in the future again.
A special thanks to the top contributors who did a great job in working together as a team, helping each other improve not only the codebase but their skills in different ways (communications, writing, code, ...). I am honored that I got the chance to meet each one of you and work with you on these projects during Hacktoberfest. A great future is lying just ahead of you.
This club helps career switchers get into web development and accessibility by learning how to code and contributing to open source.
I switched careers to tech in my early thirties despite a completely different background.
👩🏽 I encourage every woman out there to follow their dreams and get into coding as well.
All projects are designed for UX designers, front-end developers, and QA tester to contribute to open source.
Many issues are beginner friendly. The projects are designed to help all career switchers contribute to open source and gain the necessary work experience to boost their CV and get a job.
I especially encourage people using assistive technologies on a daily basis
(screen reader, magnifier, tab, braille, and more)
to become part of a community to make the application accessible from the very beginning.
Let's support each other and grow together in fulfilling our dreams.
