4.7.1 Detrending
This detrending function generates 2 new data files based on the selected data file and user-defined parameters: window length
and detrending method
.
Steps:

(0) Select a data file in the Main Window; Select Timeseries --> Detrending menu

(1) Type a window length or a percentage or move the slider.
Default value is 35%
of the total length, that is, if a data length is 100
m, then a window is 35
m.

(2) Tick one or more detrending method

(3) Click
**OK**
button, wait for several seconds (up to a minute, depending on the length of the dataset and the speed of your machine). -
(4) A new window (4) will popup showing the data and its
35%
trend(s). -
(5) In the “Select & Save detrending Model” panel, select the preferred trend. The trend and detrended file will be displayed in the Main Window.
(Tips) Change window sizes, the trend lines in the right panel will be updated automatically.
