Class Orange Equipment

It's not dangerous, but it is delicate. You should read the manual before using it.

See full safety information below

Overview

It's a binocular microscope so you still get depth-of-field when wielding a soldering iron, plus an HDMI camera so you can see things on a monitor if you'd prefer.

We got this one as it was recommended by StrangeParts

How it works

Specifications

  • Optional: Any machine specific specifications that are worth noting.

History

This was very generously donated to us by Chris Huffee and Adrian McEwen.

Using the machine

It has two plugs: one for the LED light ring; and one for the camera. If you aren't using the camera, obviously you don't need to plug that in.

Return it to the corner of the electronics workbench and replace the dust cover when you're finished with it.
