This is the Meany Lodge 2020 work party information page for the summer and fall. This page will be updated as the regional and Mountaineer guidance for COVID-19 changes. We hope you will join us at work parties! Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we have new protocols that must be enforced at our work parties. We thank you in advance for taking time to learn these and help us all to follow them.

Signup

  • You must sign up for work parties. We must maintain accurate lists for contact tracing.
  • Work parties are 1 day events. There may be multiple events per weekend, you can sign up for more than 1.
  • Overnights at Meany lodge will be tent camping.
  • To organize physical distancing, when you sign up for a work party, you will sign up with your 'quarantine unit" (family) for a specific task or project.

Health Items

  • Check your temperature before leaving home. If elevated, or you have any Coronavirus symptoms, stay home.
  • Bring a mask for every person, so you can go inside to use bathrooms and wash up
  • Plan to wear your mask when entering the lodge and when near others not in your quarantine unit.
  • Physical distancing rules apply at meal and break times.
  • All adults must carry either alcohol-based hand sanitizer or biodegradable soap.
  • If you have small people in your family that will have trouble following physical distancing rules, we suggest that you join us for work parties next season.

Arrival

  • When you arrive we will ask if you have followed the Mountaineer's COVID-19 Code of Conduct
  • Parking will be out on the ski hill.
  • You will be greeted by a committee member that will get you organized and started on your task. That person may join your group to assist or teach you the task.

At the Lodge

  • The first floor of the lodge is off limits to all but the kitchen workers.
  • Restrooms and showers are available with enhanced cleaning procedures.
  • Outhouses are available.
  • Tasks will be primarily outdoors.
  • The flat areas near the lodge are reserved for dining and tents.
  • Plated meals will be served and eaten outside on compostable plates and cutlery
